Extending Outlook

HyperOffice has released HyperShare for Outlook, an e-mail solution that purportedly offers all the functionality of Microsoft Exchange at a fraction of the cost, says HyperOffice.

HyperOffice reports its new product provides communication and collaboration capabilities for organizations, including POP3, SMTP, Web mail, shared calendaring, shared address books and document management. In addition to Outlook, HyperShare supports Netscape, Thunderbird, Eudora and other e-mail clients, eliminating the high cost and complexity of purchasing, installing and maintaining Microsoft Exchange.

HyperShare also co-exists and synchronizes with Exchange. It migrates all Exchange user data and settings and offers a complete Exchange experience at a cost of about $7 per user per month, according to HyperOffice.
