Imaging and workflow from Vignette

Vignette announces the immediate availability of Integrated Document Management (IDM) 20.1, which the company says is the foundation for its Imaging and Workflow solution. The company reports the new version features more robust reporting and workflow automation capabilities and integrates with Vignette's portal to help customers manage and leverage their content more effectively.

Vignette further explains that its Imaging and Workflow offering is designed to help organizations reduce their reliance on paper, thereby lowering storage costs and mitigating the risk of catastrophic destruction of paper documents and records. Vignette's solution enables organizations to transition to high-volume digital document processing, streamlining paper-intensive transactions.

Vignette highlights the following enhancements made possible by IDM 20.1:

• automated retention schedules to enable adherence to record keeping regulations;

• new reporting capabilities to assess business volumes and analyze historical trends;

• automated e-mail notifications to alert users when documents of interest are captured; and

• full integration with its portal, making possible the personalized Web delivery of digital documents and transaction information to key internal and external constituents.
