Hybrid work rewrites the ways organizations and employees find information, and knowledge is essential to that transformation.

In her keynote presentation, “Put Knowledge to Work In a Hybrid World,” Naomi Moneypenny, director, product development, Microsoft, illustrated real world examples with Microsoft Viva, a new employee experience platform that integrates knowledge, wellbeing, learning and culture as part of everyday work, assists in that transformation.

“When we think about our business it’s about how we get our people more effective and engaged within our organization,” Moneypenny said.

Microsoft Viva is an employee experience platform for the hybrid era. It helps connect people within the organization, Insights helps with productivity and wellbeing, and other areas of the platform help with knowledge and expertise, and more.

The partnership between people and AI is very important, she said. It’s an important construct for how Microsoft Viva builds upon this idea of building a knowledge sharing culture.

“Another piece of this is understanding how governance may change,” Moneypenny said.

Getting people interested in knowledge management together will enable a community of knowledge managers. Bringing knowledge into the flow of work can be achieved by the organization of information within the application.

KMWorld Connect 2021 is going on this week, November 15 -18, with workshops on Friday, November 19. On-demand replays of sessions will be available for a limited time to registered attendees and many presenters are also making their slide decks available through the conference portal.
