Ontic and Unicort partner to offer users access to federal and state records

Ontic, a protective intelligence software innovator, is partnering with UniCourt, a leader in Legal Data as a Service (LDaaS), allowing Ontic clients to access state and federal court records, including the full Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) criminal, bankruptcy, and civil datasets as part of a comprehensive protective intelligence solution.

“It is essential that corporate security teams have access to state and federal court records so that when an investigation is needed, they have the data and context for understanding its severity,” said Lukas Quanstrom, chief executive officer, Ontic. “Integrating strategic data partners like UniCourt further strengthens the Ontic platform’s position as a protective intelligence standard empowering security teams to holistically analyze and rapidly optimize the intelligence they need to keep their organizations safe.”

Via the UniCourt Court Data API and PACER Search API, Ontic clients gain access to UniCourt’s full dataset of over 150 million federal and state records, can continuously monitor cases and receive automatic alerts as cases are updated.

“Ontic’s integration of our dataset alongside its best-in-class research and investigative protective intelligence data means corporations no longer need to use runners to manually receive court documents or conduct separate PACER website inquiries,” said Josh Blandi, chief executive officer, UniCourt. “Our partnership creates efficiencies via alerts, workflows, and collaboration that help streamline and make corporate security teams’ jobs easier.”
