Org charts with brains

Aquire (formerly TimeVision) announces the availability of OrgPublisher 7, which delivers access and greater visibility to historical work force information and allows managers to analyze organizational changes, budget compliance, work force performance, process bottlenecks, security risks, etc.

The company explains OrgPublisher integrates a structural view of the business with enterprisewide data sources such as HR, finance, operations, IT, etc. Further, visual organizational models can be automatically generated for organizations ranging from 100 to over 1,000,000 employees. As these graphical models are generated, they can be combined with additional work force data to produce a comprehensive suite of work force reports to increase awareness and accountability. Along with older versions, OrgPublisher 7 continues to integrate seamlessly with Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and other applications.

OrgPublisher 7 feature include:

  • OrgHistory--historical archiving capabilities;

  • OrgPlan--Web-based, what-if planning capabilities, which give designated individuals the ability to create and share new organizational models;

  • Compare 2 Charts--ability to analyze two charts and automatically generate a detailed report of the differences;

  • Directory View--creates a searchable employee directory without the org chart;

  • Secure Custom Fields--enable administrators to hide secure fields from users in the searchable employee directory; and

  • the ability to export search results to Microsoft Excel and organization charts to PowerPoint.
