Content provisioning

Interwoven has announced what it calls the industry’s first content provision solution. Designed specifically for IT departments, the new Interwoven Content Provisioning solution is said to enables IT to standardize the aggregation, synchronization and deployment of browser-based application assets from any development system to any application environment.

The company claims that by streamlining this previously resource-intensive process, the Interwoven solution is empowering IT to slash provisioning costs by an average of 40 percent, bring new revenue-generating applications to market more quickly and meet key compliance requirements.

Further, Interwoven says, the need for companies to bring to market browser-based applications quickly, accurately and cost-effectively continues to grow. And, as these applications become more complex, they require a blended provisioning approach for both code and content. As a result, Interwoven continues, content provisioning is playing an increasingly critical role in helping companies address this challenge by standardizing the process by which IT operations departments can aggregate, synchronize and deploy application code and content change requests from developers to application testing, staging and production environments.
