Hyperion has unveiled Essbase 7X real-time enterprise analytic infrastructure designed for both financial and line of business users.

Hyperion says Essbase 7X provides companies with a single infrastructure for all their analytics needs, allowing IT organization to reap the benefits of standardization and lower cost of ownership. Hyperion adds that customs now can conduct traditional financial analysis and also non-financial, operational analysis for marketing, sales, human resources, the supply chain and other parts of the business.

The latest version includes the new Hyperion Visual Explorer, which offers an intuitive and graphical method for users to visualize large data volumes across dozens of key business dimensions. Its drag and drop feature is integrated with the Hyperion Essbase Spreadsheet, enabling both technical and non-technical users to now have rapid access to richer information for deeper business insights, Hyperion claims.
