KnowNow has partnered with Aviva Consulting Group to develop applications designed to facilitate the delivery of business critical information. Further, the companies say, they also developed a proof-of-concept supply chain application called the "KnowNow AVIVA Procurement Accelerator," which demonstrates the value of event-driven systems within a supply chain environment.
With a real-time view of the supply chain, KnowNow and Aviva say, buyers and suppliers can drive increased revenue through the reduction of operational costs. Using a KnowNow event-driven system, product managers can look at their distributors and get an accurate picture of what suppliers are best suited to meet their immediate needs and stay informed of the best pricing models. At the same time, the companies report, a distributor can create event-driven notifications alerting them to a potential buyer looking for pricing information, by reducing the time to take action on a particular event.
