Open Text has released Version 10 of Livelink Collections Server, which has been designed with specialized document collection and search capabilities for libraries, archives, research institutions and other organizations managing huge stores of valuable historical, technical or research information. The company claims the new Livelink server helps organizations reduce costs, speed research collaboration and improve information access.

The company says Version 10 provides a single, secure repository and specialized tools to manage large, complex documents and collections with dense subject matter and unique terminology. Further, it reports, the new offering delivers features for research management, technical document publishing, content archiving, contract or patent information management and litigation support. The solution also extends Livelink for Libraries (formerly Techlib), Open Text's advanced library automation application, and integrates with Livelink's other collaboration and content management tools.
