Computer Associates and BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) have jointly developed a customizable regulatory compliance solution for the financial, banking and insurance industries.

CleverPath for Global Compliance reportedly enables companies in those industries to rapidly respond to changes in laws and regulations by implementing processes designed to detect and monitor fraudulent practices, mitigate financial risk and expand these processes to provide anti-money laundering compliance. BearingPoint will provide systems integration services for the offering.

The companies say automation of manual regulatory compliance mechanisms is a key initial focus of CleverPath for Global Compliance, involving the real-time monitoring of transactions and automated generation of regulatory reports. The offering is also said to help manage the investigative process through workflow components that route and track suspicious cases. In addition, the companies report, it can intelligently detect changes in behavior and extract new insight from data as conditions change, facilitating identification of new fraudulent practices.

CleverPath for Global Compliance can be deployed in multiple operating environments, including Windows, UNIX, Linux and z/OS, and on leading application servers such as WebSphere and WebLogic.
