Ramping up BPM

Web-based workflow automation platform provider Ultimus and Silas Technologies, which developed the application monitoring and management solution Reveille, have announced a technology alliance they say is designed to meet the need of business process management (BPM) solutions that include measurement of key process and workflow metrics.

As a part of the alliance, the companies report, Silas Technologies is prototyping an extension to Reveille for monitoring the Ultimus Workflow Suite environment (hardware, software, Web, database and Flobot performance) that provides:

  • process metrics reporting (production incident volumes, throughput, efficiency measures, operator productivity, historical statistics);

  • complete on-call management facilities that deliver threshold-based alert notification via wireless or e-mail; and

  • browser-based online reporting of monitoring and operational metrics.

    IT monitoring and metrics for an organization's complete customer-facing infrastructure also are available with an enterprise edition of Silas Reveille.

    The Ultimus Workflow Suite is a flexible, Internet-enabled platform for business process automation that lets users design, simulate, implement, monitor and measure workflow for many different business tasks.
