The world according to Optika

With Web services functionality and .Net interoperability, Acorde 3.0 from Optika includes extended integration capabilities with Oracle E-Business Suite and the Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) product family.

Also included in Acorde 3.0 is a new Full Text Module that allows customers to simultaneously search both the metadata and the content of documents within the Acorde repository. The text module also includes optical character recognition functionality so that scanned documents, as well as those created electronically, can be indexed into the system for later full text retrieval.

Optika’s MBS channel-certified integration has been extended to include the ability to update the Microsoft - Great Plains application with information stored within Acorde, says Optika. This allows customers to use the Acorde Process component to, say, gather necessary information about a specific invoice or purchase order and then push that information back into the MBS - Great Plains application.

In addition to the Great Plains expansion, Optika reports it has also increased the capabilities of the Oracle E-Business Suite integration to include workflow capabilities. Deployed as part of the Oracle application, users can find work to be approved and then route those packages to the appropriate person for exception or final processing.
