Do you believe in metadata?

Semagix, which has been awarded contracts from the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA, claims it differentiates itself from content management and categorization software vendors by being the only company to aggregate structured and unstructured content and to share enhanced metadata between applications regardless of the source of that content.

These abilities, it says, are based on its entirely metadata-based approach and its semantic Web technologies to aggregate, enhance, integrate, analyze and manage all internal and external content. The company explains its “semantic content organization and retrieval engine” (SCORE) technology automates these processes and semantically metatags digital media of any type and format, thus enabling organizations to make fast, intelligent associations between relevant content from multiple sources, Semagix claims.
