Vora's ARC

Intelliseek has joined with the core research team of the former WhizBang Labs to form the Intelliseek Applied Research Center (ARC), says company CEO Mahendra Vora.

WhizBang is best known for developing machine learning technologies and automated software solutions that gather, extract, analyze and understand information from text, including Web properties. The ARC team members, which will remain in Pittsburgh, PA, are said to be experts in machine learning, natural language processing, text mining and information retrieval technologies.

Earlier in 2002 Intelliseek acquired the technology assets of Coreintellect and Opion, which the company describes as firms that specialized in mining and analyzing unstructured data and extracting parameters for scientifically measuring and understanding online consumer interest. In late 2001, Intelliseek merged with PlanetFeedback, a company that specializes in feedback management and analytics.

ARC will reportedly work with many of Intelliseek's strategic clients to build advanced solutions that leverage new technologies to create heightened consumer understanding, real-time competitive intelligence and other aspects of business intelligence.
