Collaborating on collaboration

SiteScape has announced a strategic alliance with Science Application International Corp. (SAIC), the nation's largest employee-owned research and engineering firm, to work together to offer customers solutions for their Web-based collaboration problems.

The companies report they have been working together on various projects involving collaboration for more than two years, including:

  • a supply chain collaboration system developed for Halliburton Energy Services in which SiteScape Forum acts as both the virtual desktop for the system as well as the principal collaboration tool;

  • a recently awarded U.S. Navy project to facilitate collaboration on materials characterization, engineering, maintenance and inspection among researchers, depot personnel and fleet personnel in naval aviation materials science; and

  • a National Science Foundation-funded project to develop a Nano-technology Education and Collaboration Network Portal (NECNP) that enables universities to develop and deliver Web-based e-learning programs in nano-technology to students in community colleges.
