It’s Java time

iManage has released WorkSite MP (multi-platform), which the company says is the first application suite to combine document management, collaboration, workflow and portal access in a single integrated Java-based offering that operates across Windows NT, Linux and Solaris platforms.

WorkSite MP addresses three primary issues affecting the enterprise: managing content and e-mail overload; using the Internet to collaborate effectively across geography and the organization’s value chain; and accomplishing key business goals with fewer resources. WorkSite also facilitates enterprisewide deployments of content and collaboration capabilities across disparate computing environments.

WorkSite MP is designed for a wide variety of applications across many industries, including supplier relationship management, contract management, asset and wealth management, wholesale banking and regulatory compliance.

The iManage WorkSite MP application suite includes four components: WorkDocs MP, WorkTeam MP, WorkRoute MP and WorkPortal MP.

WorkDocs is described as a robust, Web-based document management solution that enables employees to securely capture, organize, store, publish and review up-to-date versions of documents stored in scalable, distributed repositories throughout the global enterprise.

WorkTeam is a collaboration application that provides geographically dispersed teams with virtual work spaces, accessible via Internet, intranet or extranet, to discuss and collaborate on any aspect of a project, says iManage.

WorkRoute is a workflow application said to streamline critical business processes and enable more timely and well-informed decisions and actions by making review, approval and publishing an intuitive part of the document creation cycle.

WorkPortal is an application that provides users in the extended enterprise a secure and consolidated view of business content from multiple internal and external data sources and applications through a single portal page.
