AvantGo has announced support for the Plumtree Corporate Portal 4.5 and an alliance with Plumtree to deliver content and resources from the portal to handheld devices. Wireless access to joint customers is achieve by integrating AvantGo's M-Business Server software and the Plumtree Wireless Server, a new component of Version 4.5.

Under the arrangement portal users can access in real time from mobile devices a wide variety of corporate data and applications, such as major ERP, CRM and business intelligence systems. For maximum flexibility, AvantGo's solutions support a number of devices, including Research in Motion’s BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds, Microsoft’s Pocket PC-based and Palm’s OS-based devices, using connectivity options from today's wireless protocols such as, including GSM, GPRS, CDPD, CDMA, Mobitex and 802.11(b) wireless local area networks.
