Ready, set, collaborate

In a move designed to bolster collaboration and community building in enterprise portals, Epicentric and Intraspect have partnered to develop an out-of-the-box portal platform for enterprise collaboration.

By combining template-based collaborative applications from Intraspect with Epicentric's portal platform, the companies say the joint offering enables multi-party collaboration across the extended enterprise by allowing workers to share information from existing applications and content, as well as the information and knowledge present in e-mails ,and Web sites and in online and offline documents and files.

The companies claim the Epicentric-Intraspect collaborative portal will allow customers to:

• provide a collaborative portal platform for delivering integrated web services to the extended enterprise;

• increase ROI on existing IT infrastructure by unifying information, data and expertise from multiple sources;

• speed decision-making processes by providing users access to customized, application specific collaborative workspaces; and

• increase customer and partner loyalty by launching personalized and integrated networks to key customers and partners.
