In FormWare 4.0, Captiva offers new distributed processing capabilities to leverage the Internet to capture and process information.

FormWare features include an Internet Server that acts as the gateway between a Web server and FormWare by using HTTP client services. Others features include distributed scanning, which allows companies to scan forms in the FormWare workflow from any number of scanners located worldwide either continuously or at pre-scheduled times. Distributed completion allows operators to access work and perform image data entry and correction. FormWare Filler enables field staff to enter data into electronic forms while offline later transfer the information via the Internet.

Captiva says Version 4.0’s I-Form feature allows users to extend data capture to Web-based forms, and a DHTML form with JavaScripts edits is generated dynamically when a request is process, which eliminates the requirement to load or copy the page onto one or more Web servers. XML import/export functionality is also included.

FormWare 4.0 also provides an optional, fully integrated database module built on Microsoft’s SQL Server.
