Vignette offers upgrade kit

Vignette says its Upgrade Kit for Interwoven allows companies to automate the extraction and conversion of its content from Interwoven TeamSite's repository and manage it in standard databases and file systems with its content management server.

The upgrade kit is currently available free of charge to existing Interwoven TeamSite customers that purchase a license to use the Vignette server at full price. The company adds the kit has been designed for companies requiring a mechanism to upgrade multiple, departmental content development tools to an enterprise content management solution.

Further, Vignette says, the offering enables companies to manage content across the enterprise coherently and leverage it directly with its suite of Internet applications for content, integration and analysis.

The kit for Interwoven also enables companies to use Java Server Pages and Microsoft Active Server Pages scripting languages instead of TeamSite's Perl-based scripting. Vignette adds the kit includes limited professional services to facilitate the upgrade for companies with time-sensitive projects.
