e.Intelligence releases new version of BI platform

e.Intelligence has upgraded to its collaborative business intelligence software. Version Suite 4.1 features a hub to provide access to high-volume, real-time data from the organization’s data warehouse, allowing users to make decisions that improve e-commerce and supply-chain planning.

The company claims the new version offers better Web accessibility, enhanced database read-write performance for statistical and collaborative analysis, editable calculated facts and improved auditing capabilities. It is also said to surpass earlier versions by allowing data to be imported and exported to Excel spreadsheets to extend the reach of business intelligence into an analytic environment that has not been served by traditional BI tools.

The offering employs the data warehouse as the enterprise language standard for collaboration, enabling users to access and exchange information, assess the impact of “what-if” scenarios on business plans, simulate the impact of decisions to reach consensus and then implement consensus-based decisions. Forward-looking analyses also can be easily sub-analyzed by simply drilling up or down into more- or less-detailed levels of data and can be joined with back-end data sources such as the data warehouse. The net result of all these capabilities is that organizations are now able to leverage more fully their large data warehouse investment.
