KM Technologies aims to Europe

KM Technologies and Cable & Wireless-SPAN, a Swiss provider of business Internet services and a subsidiary of the Cable & Wireless Global, have announced an agreement for the distribution in Switzerland of the Work2Gether intranet application. Work2Gether is multilingual software designed for small- and medium-sized organizations (20 to 1,000 users).

Founded 10 years ago, Cable & Wireless-SPAN serves companies in French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland, as well as in neighboring France. Says Baudouin D'Aumeries, the company’s director of product strategy, "Work2gether is a user-friendly application, perfectly suited to the growing needs of our business clientele. This agreement reinforces the unique position of our company, which combines a global IP network with value-added services."

KM Technologies reports that according to analyses by International Data Corp., only 4% of employees around the world had intranet access in 1998. This number will climb to 64% by the end of the year.
