Medical stop-loss automationHartford develops custom claims audit program

With the help of a healthcare-specific software developer, Hartford Life has implemented a claims audit system to analyze claims and medical trends. The system, developed by Eldorado Computing, determines appropriate reimbursement for employer expenses.

“We’re eliminating a significant amount of paper,” said Peter McAndrew, director of claims management at Hartford. “We can now turnaround stop loss claims in less than ten days.” According to Zane Bell, president of Eldorado Computing, the system has speeded claims processing and enabled Hartford to identify additional claims management opportunities.
