U.K. insurer deploying 4i platform

U.K. insurance company Norwich Union is deploying Documentum's 4i application platform. Norwich Union will deploy 4i to create and maintain an electronic library of life insurance and pension documents. The solution is expected to be fully deployed sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.

"Our cost benefit analysis indicated that using Documentum 4i will allow us to manage our documents in a more timely fashion and with greater efficiency. We expect additional benefits in being able to search documents on content, rather than just on type, which will enable enhanced change capability and improve disaster recovery capabilities. In addition, it will also provide us with an effective document versioning system and archive capability," said Terry Storey, head of outbound communications, Norwich Union.

4i is billed by Documentum as a content management platfom designed to manage content creation and delivery for corporate and eBusiness portals
