AIIM NEWS: Abuzz unveils Beehive module to locate experts on the Internet

NEWS FROM AIIM '99: Locating the best experts for particular questions across the Internet is the goal of Abuzz's (booth 3734) newest addition to its Beehive expertise management system, unveiled today at AIIM '99 in Atlanta.

Beehive builds profiles that continuously learns who knows what, routing requests directly to them and archiving conversations so they can be reused. Beehive also analyzes how expertise is used and shared, so organizations can see where they need to increase their knowledge of particular subjects.

The new module locates experts across the Internet in a hosted virtual community, so customers can interact with each other and the company. Two existing Beehive modules profile experts across intranets and extranets.

Sharing knowledge and experience among employees, customers, and virtual communities can dramatically impact an organization's top and bottom line, according to Abuzz CEO Andy Sack.
