Mobius sees 40% jump in revenue, earnings

Mobius Management Systems (Nasdaq: MOBI) reports Q4 and YE '98 financial results. Q4 revenue of $20.6 million is up 41% from Q4 '97. Net income of $1.94 million, which includes a $329,000 charge related to the company's May IPO, compares with Q4 '97 net income of $1.35 million. Software license revenue was up 46% over Q4 '97, and represented 3/4 of total Q4 revenue. For the year, Mobius reports revenue of $56.5 million and a net income of $4.6 million, compared with respective YE '97 figures of $41.3 million and $2.4 million. International revenue was 13% of total YE '98 revenue, up 128% from the prior year. DocumentDirect, Mobius' first internet product, represented almost 10% of total license revenue. During the quarter Mobius completed its IPO, added twelve new clients and closed a major Australian telecommunications deal.
