Fuji and BancTec Ink Agreement
BancTec (Dallas) has agreed to integrate Fuji Photo Film USA's (Elmsford, NY) M Drive in its new Film2Image microfilm system. The M Drive will automate the retrieval of microfilm images in the system, which reads 16mm microfilm images, converts them to digital files and provide access to them through a network. The combined system will be sold through BancTec's distribution channel, business partners and end-user organizations. The agreement "was a natural," according to Ken Kopald, VP and GM of Fuji's Document Products division, due to the companies' "collective synergies."
