Enigma and TechLaw Take Publishing to Court

Enigma (Waltham, MA) and TechLaw (Chantilly, VA) have agreed to work together to bring electronic publishing to the legal market. TechLaw will make Enigma's Insight into Docs Open exclusively available to law firms through the end of 1998. Insight is already being used in the legal marketplace for enabling the creation of electronic brief banks, closing documents and litigation support tools in an established user base. Insight into Docs Open allows users to create topic-specific search fields, hierarchical tables of content, and a customizable GUI. "These features make electronic brief banks, closing documents and litigation support publications much more functional than simple document collections, and therefore provide tremendous value to the end user," said Marlene Marsh of TechLaw. The promise of fast accessibility to published legal documents makes the product ideal for the legal industry, concurred Enigma VP or worldwide marketing Randy Clark.
