Fujitsu's Teamware Chosen by Virginia DOT

The Virginia Department of Transportation has selected Fujitsu's (San Jose) Teamware suite of groupware and workflow products to help manage its records more efficiently. The VDOT will roll out the Automated Records Management System to 6,000 users to expedite report routing and processing, and facilitate internal communication and scheduling. The system is being installed by Woodside Summit Group, a systems integrator for VDOT. The system, which connects VDOT offices under a corporate LAN, will provide indexing, storage, search and retrieval function for all VDOT documents introduced to ARMS. The bottom line, according to VDOT ARMS Project Manager Mike McAllister, is that the solution "will make us more responsive" because it will have "an immediate impact on our efficiency."
