Minolta to Incorporate TextBridge OCR with MI3MS 3000 System
Minolta Information Systems (Mahwah, NJ) has agreed to provide ScanSoft's (Peabody, MA) TextBridge OCR technology with Version 4.5 of its MI3MS 3000 Plus Image and Information Management system. The OCR software will be available as an option for the Process Automation and Transaction Hub (PATH) feature of Minolta's system. Users will be able to combine OCR with image enhancement, barcode, and text search and retrieval technologies for processing documents. "This agreement with Xerox for a Minolta OEM version of TextBridge OCR will offer our users access to a feature-rich implementation of award-winning technology," said Minolta Information Systems president Glenn Magnell.
