Scan-Optics Receives Japanese Contract

Scan-Optics (Manchester, CT) and its Japanese distributor, Toyo Officemation, have received a multiple system contract for two versions of the Series 9000 Image and ICR system. The system will be integrated into an advanced stock certificate application, where it will be used to read, image and process Japanese stock certificates each trading day. The system will process approximately 10,000 to 15,000 certificates per hour. They will be installed at Tokyo's Mitsubishi Trust Bank, one of the largest stock transfer agents in Japan, and will be operational in early 1998.
