Optika and Xerox Ink Agreement

Optika (Colorado Springs, CO) and Xerox (Rochester, NY) have signed an agreement to integrate Optika's FilePower suite with Xerox's Document Centre digital systems products. The partnership will result in a single integrated solution for capturing, managing and distributing large amounts of documents. Joint marketing plans are now being developed. Users of Xerox's CenterWare Network Scanning Services will be able to access FilePower, which will allow the user to scan a document and share it across the network. The document can then be viewed, indexed, OCR'd or routed into a workflow process. "This partnership will allow many workers to participate in a more efficient process by significantly improving the document workflow and storage process," said Optika president and CEO Mark Ruport.
