Medic and Arthur Andersen Form Healthcare Alliance

Medic Computer Systems (Raleigh, NC) and Arthur Andersen (New York) have entered into a business alliance to provide products and services to healthcare organizations. The two companies will jointly develop product and service offerings for healthcare integrated delivery networks (IDNs), management services organizations (MSOs) and physician practice management companies (PPMCs). The agreement combines "innovative technology, operational guidance and support, and a strong customer service system" to their customers, said Doug Williams, the Arthur Andersen partner responsible for the company's Healthcare practice. Medic president and CEO John McConnell added that the partnership creates "an unparalleled range of products and services for large healthcare systems."
