GA Signs OEM Agreement with Unidata
General Automation (GA, Irvine, CA) has signed an OEM agreement with Unidata (Denver) to resell application development software. GA will distribute Unidata's RedBack Web application tool and wintegrate terminal emulator, as well as two System Builder tools for legacy applications. GA will distribute the products within its own reseller channel and customer base, but not in Unidata and Universe relational database environments or the Unidata/VMARK sales channels. "This is an arrangement that makes sense for everyone involved," said Unidata president and CEO David Brunel. The combined solution, adds GA executive VP Bill Rice, adds "a powerful set of integration technologies which meet the needs of a competitive industry."
