Ericsson and Bull Sign Telecom Management Agreement
Telecommunications provider Ericsson has signed an agreement with Bull Information Systems (Billerica, MA) to combine its telecom management framework with Bull's enterprise management software. Specifically, the agreement calls for Bull to incorporate fault management components of its OpenMaster enterprise management software suite with Ericsson's Telecom Management Framework. The combined solution will be designed for customer management, network operation, data warehousing and IS/IT management, and marketed to telecom operators and service providers worldwide. "Bull's OpenMaster meets our requirements in the fault management area," said Ericsson GM Johan Bergendahl, "and will fit very well within our offering by allowing us to enhance our Integrated Network Operation solutions." Added Michel Paulin, VP of Bull's ISM business unit: "Ericsson's Telecom Management Framework provides an outstanding portfolio of applications for operational as well as business support systems."
