CIVS and Imark Collaborate on Healthcare Information EC Solution
Thanks to a combination of technologies from Imark (Herndon, VA) and CIVS (Rockville, MD), healthcare organizations can obtain physician verification information using electronic commerce. The incorporation of Imark's CD-MAX information commerce system with CIVS new PrimeSource CD-ROM allows registered users to access and purchase physician credential verification information from the PrimeSource database on a per-report basis. The system provides content access management, usage metering and reporting, and billing services. "Verification of physician credentials that typically took healthcare organizations weeks and months to complete can now be done in minutes," according to CIVS president Judith Willis. Imark president and CEO Robert Wiedemer adds that the combination lets information companies like CIVS focus on developing and marketing their content.
