Procom and Computer Associates Sign Tape Storage Agreement

Procom (Irvine, CA) will partner with Computer Associates

(Islandia, NY) to provide enterprise tape backup solutions, the two companies announced yesterday. Under the agreement, Procom will offer CA's award-winning ARCserve for Windows NT and NetWare software with its entire tape, DLT, AIT and tape library product line. The combination gives users customizable data protection and simplified administration. The two offerings "are perfect complements for storing and protecting data," according to CA VP T.M. Ravi. The bundling "gives customers the industry's most powerful solution for backing up enterprise data," added Michael Khoyilar, Procom's Tape Product Manager.
