EMC Storage System Bought By Perot Systems

IT services company Perot Systems (Dallas) has purchased storage solutions from

EMC (Hopkinton, MA) to manage information across multiple platforms. The system, which includes three terabytes of EMC Symmetrix Enterprise Storage systems, will manage information assets across Perot's multiple mainframe and open system servers. Perot currently has twenty terabytes of EMC storage, equal to approximately 5 billion pages of text. "There's significant cost savings," said Perot Systems operations manager Joe Favazza, "because we no longer have to duplicate storage capacity every time a new platform enters the mix."
