Gateway 2000 Unveils RAID Storage System

Gateway 2000 (North Sioux City, SD) has unveiled the NS DataStation Ultra-8 RAID storage system. The Ultra-8 supports storage capacities of up to 72GB using 1-inch or 1.6-inch drives, or up to 63GB when utilized in a RAID 5 configuration. The system also supports up to eight hot-swappable Ultra SCSI disk drives, with a data transfer rate of up to 40MB per second. The Ultra-8 system supports Microsoft (Redmond, WA) Windows NT, Novell (Provo, UT) NetWare and IBM (Armonk, NY) OS/2 operating systems. Available immediately, the NS DataStation Ultra-8 is list priced at $2,799.
