Interleaf, Softquad Sign SGML Partnership

(Toronto, Ontario) have announced a strategic partnership designed to provide an SGML publishing solution to corporate intranet users. The goal of the global partnership is to jointly develop and market an Internet SGML Publishing Suite that allows corporate intranet users to publish SGML documents to the Web. The companies will market and sell the forthcoming product through their established channels. "This relationship is a natural synergy," said SoftQuad CEO Richard Rabins, adding that the agreement represents "a significant opportunity" to "further tap into the corporate intranet market."
