BDM announces Q3 '97 financial results

) announces Q3 '97 financial results. Revenue of $294.9 million compares with Q3 '96 revenue of $246.8 million. Net income increased 62% from Q3 '96 to $6.3 million. BDM's Federal Systems business unit commanded 40% of the company's overall revenue. Overall commercial revenue accounted for 24% of total revenue for the quarter, while domestic commercial revenue rose 99%. Currently, BDM has a backlog of $2.4 billion, an all-time record for the company. During the quarter BDM was the co-recipient of a $3 billion contract to provide telecommunications and other technology services across the U.S. Government.
