Fuji and PowerScan combine products

Digital microfilm scanners from Fuji (Elmsford, NY,

http://www.fujifilm.com) now incorporate capture software products from PowerScan (Potomac, MD, http://www.intrafed.com). Fuji is using the PowerScan software scanner drivers and the StageWorks line of post-scan processing software to handle the batch conversion of image data.

Fuji's M-Drive scanners perform as either digital reader/printers for microfilm applications or as digital batch scanners. "Fuji is ensuring that our dealers have tools for digital film reading, batch scanning and printing of microfilm roll film data," said Kenneth Kopald, VP of Fuji's document products division.

Both companies plan to unveil the combined product lines during the Association of Record Managers and Administrators (ARMA) International show from Oct. 20 to 23 in Chicago.
