Diamond Head unveils storage management solution

Diamond Head Software has unveiled its new Tempest Storage Management Server, a Windows NT-based, fault-tolerant server that supports optical and tape storage. Bundled with PC DOCS

' (Burlington, MA, http://www.pcdocs.com) DOCS Open document management index, the storage management solution is scalable from departments to an enterprise with tens of thousands of users. The Tempest server answers "the market's need for an extremely efficient storage management server that can support thousands of concurrent users," according to Diamond Head CEO Bill Burke. "The demand for scalable, distributed image and electronic document storage management is increasing dramatically," says Meta Group (Stamford, CT, http://www.metagroup.com) VP David Yokelson. "Diamond Head's Tempest Server addresses this requirement." The solution costs $7,500 and includes support for the first 100 gigabytes of storage.
