BellSouth Cellular selects COLD solution from TASC

TASC (Reading, MA, http://www.tasc.com

) has been awarded a $1.7 million contract from wireless telecommunications company BellSouth Cellular Corp (Atlanta, GA) to provide data storage and retrieval solutions. TASC's COLD system will allow BSCC to retrieve cellular telephone bills, call detail reports and images of contracts from its 4.5 million customers in 15 states. TASC is also working on a customer self-service application for BSCC using the TASC-COLD Electronic Marketplace and the Web, which will allow BSCC to access the COLD archives using any hardware platform with standard internet browsers. "BSCC determined that our solution could consolidate several existing archive systems into a single high-volume, enterprise-wide solution," said Craig Le Clair, TASC director of COLD and Image Systems. "We are extremely pleased that BSCC chose us to meet its massive billing storage and retrieval needs."
