Lanier and MDI announce partnership

Lanier (Atlanta, GA, http://www.lanier.com) has announced that it will incorporate its document management solutions into Micro Design International's (Winter Park, FL, http://www.mdi.com) line of writable optical jukeboxes. The combined product will be offered as part of Lanier's line of imaging solutions for the trucking, manufacturing and healthcare industries. Both companies expressed enthusiasm toward the agreement, and how it positions each company within these markets. Said Lanier VP Cliff Sink: "Combining MDI's optical technology with Lanier's software and integration expertise provides a complete solution for our targeted vertical markets." Similarly, MDI Business Development Manager Brian McCarthy believes that "Lanier's vertical market solutions will further expand MDI's position in the storage industry within each market segment."
