American Management Systems posts profitable Q2
American Management Systems (AMS, Fairfax, VA, Nasdaq, AMSY, http://www.amsinc.com
) announces Q2 ’97 revenue of $220.9 million, a 17% increase over the Q2 ’96 results of $188.8 million. Net income for Q2 ’97 was $7.9 million versus $8.3 million in Q2 ’96. The increase in revenue is attributable to a number of “large-scale” contracts that were procured this year, according to Paul Brands, CEO of AMS. Significant future revenues are expected due to such contracts.
