Northrop Grumman shows increase
Northrop Grumman (Los Angeles, NYSE: NOC, http://www.northgrum.com
) reports Q1 '97 revenue of $1.96 billion, an increase of 23% from $1.6 billion in Q1 '96. Net income of $75 million increased from $61 million in the corresponding period. The 1997 results include a full quarter of operations for Westinghouse, renamed the Electronic Sensors and Systems Division (ESSD) at the time of acquisition, as opposed to one month of operations in Q1 '96. Both of the company's business segments--aircraft and electronics--saw an increase in revenue in 1997.
