Warnock discusses Web tech future at AIIM

Adobe CEO John Warnock opened

AIIM '97 (April 14-17, New York) by discussing the future of Web-based technologies for managing corporate information assets.

"By enabling universal access to online information, the Web has solved one of the most pressing corporate computing challenges of the last few years. The more urgent problem now becomes not just providing access to information but managing that information so customers can more effectively collaborate on critical business processes," said Dr. Warnock.

Warnock sees the convergence of the Web with information management as one of the most significant trends of the year and called the AIIM '97 Conference a premier venue to explore that opportunity. Exhibitors offerings ranged from the newest of 32-bit Web-based extranet software to the original micrographic equipment that gave AIIM its start.
