Ned Umehara heads new Minolta division

) divides and multiplies like the mythic Hydra that grew two heads for every one that Hercules cut off--it spawns a new division as fast as it sheds another. As reported last issue (IW, April 7, 1997) Minolta's Business Information Systems division has detached itself and become Minolta Information Systems (MIS, Mahwah, NJ). Now, the Ramsey, NJ, headquarters has borne the new Peripheral Products Division, (PPD, Mahwah, NJ).

Headed by Ned Umehara who will serve as general manager, this latest division will distribute Minolta's planned line of peripherals. A line of laser printers is anticipated.
