HP--scanning with Caere

Caere (Los Gatos, CA, http://www.caere.com) and Hewlett-Packard (HP, Palo Alto, CA, http://www.hp.com) have entered into a two year alliance for the development and distribution of hardware and software scanning products and solutions. The agreement encompasses multiple platforms and includes software customization and interface design.

Per an OEM/bundling arrangement, Caere's OmniPage Lite or OmniPage Limited Edition will be included in HP hard copy products that provide scanning and OCR capabilities. Such product offerings include the ScanJet flatbed and sheet-fed scanners, the ScanJet 4Si network scanners and the OfficeJet LX all-in- one devices.
